For those who believe the job is something they would enjoy, it can be very rewarding. Seeing people develop their skills and pass their driving test, gives a sense of success and gratification. Not everyone is suited to the profession, though. It can be extremely stressful and expensive when things don’t go quite to plan. If you decide to train with DARE2DRIVE®, we will do everything we can to help. Providing training and advice for all three parts of the driving instructor tests. All training is provided at a pace set by you. Our attitude to training you as a potential driving instructor is the same as training a learner, you decide where you want to be and how you want to progress, with a bit of advice from us added in. We suggest the best way to train is by learning all three parts simultaneously, this is because each part is dependent on the other two. It makes training quicker and gives more time to practice for your part three, as you only have two years after passing your part one, to complete and pass your part three. If you have already taken your part one or even part two, it’s not a problem we are happy to help you with each part individually if that is what you need, as we said, it’s your needs that are important to us.
No pressure and no time scales are set by us, but you can set them if you wish! We have various payment options available, which will be discussed with you, during the first meeting, but the general cost is £65 per hour, £250 for half a day (4 hours, with half an hour’s break), or £400 for a full day (8 hours, with a 1 hour lunch break)
Training is provided to anyone who has held a full driving licence for a minimum of 3 years and is over the age of 25. If you are between 21 and 25 please do get in touch, we say 25 years of age, due to our current insurance policy. We are more than happy to investigate the costs of making this change.
